2nd International Ottoman Traces Symposium: Balkans

Stating that the Ottoman Civilization Studies Application and Research Center (OSMER) is one of the centers that best suits Trakya University, Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu said, “Since its establishment, our center has carried out many important activities. I find it very meaningful that this symposium focuses on the Balkans, in terms of showing both the mission of our university, the place where it stands, and its target point. Valuable papers from America, Germany, and many countries of the Balkans will be presented for two days. And hopefully, these will be brought together to create a source work. It will also make an important contribution to the work of Trakya University on the Balkans.” In the realization of the symposium, especially Dr. Instructor Member Tülay Canıtez and Assoc. Dr. He thanked everyone who contributed, especially Mustafa Hatipler.

After the opening speeches, the symposium was continued by Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı's speech.
